|
The House and some of our Jungle Visitors |
Our house is located in a beautiful tropical garden setting in the jungle at Punta Uva, a 5 minute walk to the best beaches of the Costa Rican Caribbean1
Punta Uva is located half way between the happening town of Puerto Viejo with it's many restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and activities and sleepy Manzanillo where there is more great eating, local Caribbean color, even more beautiful beaches and the entrance to the National Park.
There are also restaurants, groceries, and internet within nearby walking distance to Casa Tres Monos in the quiet neighborhoods of Punta Uva and Playa Chiquita.
See our location on the satellite map.
1 Outside Magazine included Punta Uva in their list of the world's 10 most beautiful beaches.

Our House and Garden
Casa Tres Monos (Three Monkeys) is a simple rustic 2 story home made of beautiful tropical hardwood set in a colorful tropical garden on the side of a small river within the borders of the Gandoca Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge teeming with rain forest life.
The house and the setting are very private and peaceful. We are set back 200 meters down a jungle lane. Secluded from the noise of the road and crowds.
The house features:
- 3 bedrooms with 3 full size beds with linens and mosquito net,
- 2 full covered decks,
- complete kitchen
- hot shower

Of the many rain forest animals seen from the deck/hammock you may see include 3 species of monkey, 3 species of toucan and many parrots.
There is a river view from the deck where we commonly see river otters and turtles. Also there is a frog pond below the deck with water lilies, and lotus, and the possibility to observe many species of rain forest frogs.
In fact, we've counted 120 species of birds on the property!

The setting of this house is spectacular, amazing gardens, wildlife viewing right from your deck, a creek running by, sounds of frogs at night. This place will give you a full immersion in nature!
